The frame around this piece is superbly handcrafted in solid 14k gold with beautiful antique style decoration featuring fine filigree work. The center of this piece features a shell with a well detailed cameo carving depicting a young lady wearing a necklace set with a sparkling old mine cut diamond weighting 4 points. The back of the brooch has a hinged pin as well as a collapsible bale that allows it to be alternatively worn as a pendant.
