The Witschi is a dream machine for every watch maker. But with its heart-fainted price, it is pretty much untouchable for average or amateur watch makers. Until the TYMC machines surfaced, we now have bargain alternatives. TYMC is a well-known Chinese Horological Tool Supplier which is based in Beijing with a long history in Horology. TYMC MTG-4000A features a COMPOSITE MICROPHONE that will not scratch your precious watches. The TYMC microphone is prone to be more durable and stable to signals than other all Chinese made timing machine. We put 2 TYMC machines with 2 Weishi units together at our repair storefronts and I now have a conclusion: if you are a full-blown watch maker and equipment shows, wanting a better machine with color display and smoother performance, opt for the TYMC MTG-4000A.  But if you are an amateur and budget is your top priority, go with the MTG-3000 with $150.00 in your pocket.  Until the TYMC flagship MTG-5000 came out beginning this year, the MTG-4000A was their monster in their product line and has a proven record of reliability.  We feel that the MTG-5000 is too complicated for the average users and the fully automatic microphone is yet to prove itself to us. (We have one, but it is too early to jump a conclusion.)  Take advantage of the huge 15% price drop from two months ago, it is now the best time to add it or upgrade it to your bench.  Supply is steady and I am ready to distribute this here on eBay like what I did for the Weishi MTG-3000 for the past year.  This MTG-4000A is a state-of-the-art machine which is very similar to the Witschi Expert-II series models. I personally prefer the TYMC over the Witschi due to the fact that it has a backlight display which the Witschi lacks of. It can handle all mechanical watch movements.
