I inherited this back in 1993. I do not have a certificate for the ring, since it is an estate piece ( though I have a gemprint certificate for a 3.01 ct round diamond, which may or may not be for this diamond). I am selling it (hopefully) to donate some of the money to our church, in honor of my grandmother for Christmas, which was her birthday. I had the ring appraised in 2001 and will quote from the appraisal: " Ladie's Diamond engagement ring. Center diamond is 2.5 ct round SI1- clarity H - color. On each side of the center diamond is a .20 ct Baguette diamond. Ring is 14kt white gold. " The ring has a little trademark of a K inside of a diamond. The appraisal was not for insurance purposes or sale purposes but for my own information. The replacement value, 7 years ago was approx. $15500.00. The appraisal is not detailed as to cut or size, as it was for the ring and not specifically for the stone. The certificate states that the diamond weights are approx. for mounted stones, which is why I think that the gemprint certificate may be for this diamond. Please note that there are 2 rings listed on the appraisal. The first is a smaller .80 ct diamond solitaire. I would rather list the ring myself and sell it to someone that will appreciate it than take it to a buyer. I am not sure of the sizing, the ring does have a little guard inside. The diamond is in a rather high setting, as you can see in the photos. The diamond girdle ranges from thin to thick and if you look very closely, you can see that the girdle appears cut or faceted. The sparkle is fantastic! The specks in the photos are not visible on the diamond, I think that they are dust specks from the flash. This is a great wedding or engagement ring! The best measurement that I can come up with, for the table, is approx. 2/8" (1/4)with the stone being approx. 1/4" deep.
