This is an antique reproduction design and measures 2.125 in. (length) x 2.125 in. (width). This has a plain oval shaped framework with three (3) bezels at the center flanked by cast stippled textured leaves. The bottom has free swinging swags and drops with box link chain and three (3) pear shaped drops. The center is bezel set with an oval cut genuine amethyst gauging 18.2 mm. x 13.1 mm. x 7.4 mm. and weighing approx. 9.70 carats. The colour is medium to medium deep slightly greyish purple and there are numerous typical inclusions and strong colour zoning present. This is flanked by two (2) brilliant cut genuine amethysts gauging 7.2 mm. (diameter) of medium deep purple colour. These also have numerous typical inclusions. The brooch is hallmarked and was made in London, England in 1968. The piece weighs 18.8 grams.
