Distinctive celtic designs from the "book of kells" are then etched into the brass. The excellence of design and workmanship achieved by the ancient celtic artists and craftsman can be seen in this barrette, applying fine silk screen printing and age old etching techniques. This piece comes on a presentation card stating that it is handmade in ireland, gives information on celtic designs and tells how the piece was made.  Celtic designs have long been applied to create fine art.
