The only gem I've seen that approaches this reddness is some Spinel material under natural daylight. I've photographed the Cuprite under incandescent light to help illuimate the gem. It was impossible to capture the extreme red hue. It has to be viewed in person. 4.17 carat VVS clarity. Gems over two carats were extremely rare and are mined out.
